This secure online facility enables you to quickly generate the import document with the bar-coded authorization and transaction number required by the Pre-Arrival Release System (PARS).
 

Please note due the cancellation of the FIRST program by CBSA (Customs Notice 07-008 dated March 23, 2007) which is effective January 31, 2008, we have modified the FIRST program you have been using on this web site to accept additional information in order to prepare a PARS release instead.

The largest impact of the discontinuance of the FIRST program by CBSA is that prior declaration of your shipment must be made before the trucker arrives at the border during regular business hours. This was not a requirement under the FIRST program.

Instructions on the procedure to declare your shipment in advance will automatically print on the bottom of the PARS form when you create it.
PARS barcodes should be acquired from your carrier and not from GHY International

In order to ensure everyone is ready for this switch the current FIRST form has been discontinued and ask that you start sending all shipments in advance so we can set them as CBSA regulations.

Due to changes implemented last October, GHY requires documents to be provided in advance as follows:

1-2 full business day (24-48 hours) - regular shipments, or
4 hours in advance (during regular business hours) - emergency shipments
Thursday/Friday (up to 72 hrs.) for weekend clearances

For most importers/carriers these changes will have little impact as GHY utilizes Electronic Processing for over 90% of all shipments. However, some consignments will be affected, and drivers/dispatchers should obtain status of their shipments prior to arrival at the border using their own Release Notification System or GHY's PARS Tracker.
