Canada Border Services Agency

AD1396/4214-36 & CV132/4218-34: Certain Carbon Steel Welded Pipe
Notification that the CBSA has been instructed to initiate a review of the final determination of dumping with respect to certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan as a result of a Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization finding that some aspects of the CBSA’s initial determination were inconsistent with WTO rules.

News Bulletin: Changes to Hours of Service at Six New Brunswick Border Crossings
Notification that points of entry at Bloomfield, Milltown, Centreville, Gillespie, Forest City and Fosterville will either close at night, on Sundays or for statutory holidays.

Customs Notice 17-25: Proposed Regulatory Amendments and New Regulations Related to the Implementation of the CUFTA
Regulatory amendments and new regulations proposed by the CBSA in support of the implementation of the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement that came into force on Aug. 1, 2017.

TR 2017 ER: Notice of Expiry Review Investigation – Certain Liquid Dielectric Transformers
Notification that the CBSA has initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of an order concerning the dumping of certain liquid dielectric transformers originating in or exported from South Korea is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject goods.

Directive 2017-45: Chapter 11 of the Meat Hygiene Manual of Procedures
Export requirements have been updated with regards to raw poultry meat from Argentina.

Bulletin 20170726: Beef Export to Singapore
Singapore has revised the Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) related import conditions for beef import from Canada to allow deboned beef cuts from cattle of all ages and bone in beef cuts from cattle under 30 months of age. The Veterinary Certificate for Export of Beef to Singapore (Annex F) has been updated in the Meat Export Electronic Certification system accordingly.

Expiry LE-2017-003: Carbon Steel Welded Pipe
Statutory notice under SIMA that a finding made by the CITT on December 11, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-003, concerning the dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan, Oman, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and the UAE, and the subsidizing of the subject goods from several of those countries, is scheduled to expire on December 10, 2017.

Review NQ-2012-003R: Carbon Steel Welded Pipe
CITT has initiated a review of its December 11, 2012 finding in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-003 that certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan was threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry, taking into consideration subsequent recommendations and rulings of a WTO dispute settlement panel.

Expiry Review RR-2017-002: Liquid Dielectric Transformers
Statutory notice under SIMA that the CITT has initiated an expiry review of a finding made on November 20, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-003, concerning the dumping of certain the dumping of liquid dielectric transformers originating in or exported from South Korea.

Notice to Importers 895 & 896: Opening of Application Period for Cheese TRQs Under CETA
Pursuant to the provisions of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, the Canadian government has established two new tariff rate quotas (TRQs) for cheese originating in the European Union: one for 16,000,000 kg of cheeses of all types and one for 1,700,000 kg of cheeses of all types to be used in food processing (industrial cheese).
