While in Canada last week speaking to business leaders and meeting with government ministers and trade officials, U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker sat down with Amanda Lang of the CBS business program The Exchange.

PritzkerThe interview briefly touched on a wide range of trade-related issues including efforts being made to reduce border impediments, complaints about the “Buy America” program, the progress of talks on the Transpacific Trade Partnership and the possibility of renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement to reflect changes in the global trade environment since the “ground-breaking” deal came into effect 20 years ago.

Note: The interview was reported on by the Globe & Mail here and many of Pritzker’s responses were reiterations of points made at greater length during her speech last Thursday to the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada, a transcript of which can be found here.
