Webinar: Insights in New EU Customs and VAT Law

Posted May 29, 2015

Companies involved in doing business internationally are more than ever confronted with additional legal rules pertaining to trade, many of which have become increasingly complex and frequently arrive at a fast pace.

This informative webinar will focus primarily on the new European Union customs legislation set out in the Union Customs Code (UCC), the phased implementation of which will begin entering into force next year. The UCC will serve as the new regulatory framework establishing the rules and procedures for all customs processes throughout the EU.

Tim Hesselink, an international trade lawyer and consultant based in the Netherlands, will cover some major changes under the UCC and provide practical guidance for international businesses with EU import activities. Another topic that should be of concern to non-EU businesses is “E-Commerce and EU VAT rules.” Hans Rennings, a tax attorney and advisor, will provide insight in the EU Value Added Tax rules that have an impact on setting up and maintaining your E-Commerce activities under EU VAT rules.

Speakers:
Tim Hesselink, Director and Hans Rennings, Senior Tax Manager at KPMG Meijburg & Co.
