FIATA Backs Simplified Pricing

Recent moves by some airlines' freight divisions confirming their policy to return to a simplified “all-in” rate structure that eliminates fuel and other surcharges has been welcomed by the international association of freight forwarders - FIATA.

FIATA says the simplification of rate structures will be a significant benefit to forwarders and shippers alike.

"Forwarders have for a very long time desired these surcharges be removed as they are opaque and complex and make it difficult to quote a definite price for air cargo transport,” said Rodolfo Sagel, chairman of FIATA’s Airfreight Institute. Click here to read more.
