Government Dismissed Amid Broader Tussle in Euro Zone Over How to Jump Start Bloc's Economies

France’s President François Hollande dissolved his government Monday after senior ministers publicly criticized the Socialist leader’s shift to the right amid a broader tussle in the euro zone over how to jump start the bloc’s economies.

Economy Minister Arnaud Montebourg —who hails from the left wing of Mr. Hollande’s Socialist party—over the weekend called on the government to focus less on helping business, and more on fueling demand with tax cuts for households. The minister also lashed out at the German government for imposing damaging austerity on the continent. Read more here.
