Japan-U.S. Charter Flights to Benefit from U.S. Dispute

(Aircargo Asia-Pacific)

More than 40 airfreight charters from Japan to the U.S. have been booked as a result of the port congestion caused by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU)-Pacific Maritime Association labour dispute and other issues affecting automotive spare parts imports to the U.S.

Six people in the U.S. have died as a result of exploding Takata-brand air bags and 10 different car makers there have recalled affected vehicles.
