A spokesman for Ambassador Bridge released a statement saying they appreciated the support of border agencies and the Detroit Fire Department to get the bridge open quickly.
“Our new enhancement span would have accommodated the free flow of traffic without delay today, were it not for bureaucratic red-tape,” Mickey Blashfield said in the statement.
Matt Marchand, president and CEO of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce, said it was a reminder of the significance of the Detroit River International Crossing Project. Construction will begin again soon on EC Row as part of that project. Click here to read more.
