Manitoba’s manufacturing industry did an about-face in August, recording the biggest percentage declines in sales of any province after posting the biggest percentage increase in the previous month.
Statistics Canada said the province’s manufacturers shipped out $1.34-billion worth of goods during the month. That was down 9.9 per cent from July’s total of $1.49 billion, and was three times the national average decline.
It also wiped out a good chunk of July’s 15.7 per cent, month-over-month gain. Read more here.
