Small- and medium-sized businesses have finally recovered from the 2008 recession, a new report from RBC states, but they’re not out of the woods yet.
In Canada’s Small Business Landscape, RBC reports the number of SMEs reached a record level at the end of 2012.
The outlook is particularly good for companies that have an exporting component to their businesses. For starters, RBC’s forecast for the Manitoba economy is 2.8 per cent GDP growth next year, up from 1.8 per cent this year, while Canada is expected to grow by 2.4 per cent in 2014 and 2.7 per cent next year.
