St. Lawrence Seaway, Unifor Head to Arbitration

Arbitration will keep the Seaway locks open and keep workers on site as the stickiest part of contract negotiations remains unresolved.

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. and the union representing 460 of its workers, Unifor, agreed to arbitration Sunday.

The main sticking point between Seaway and Unifor is the proposed use of hands-free mooring at Canadian locks. Read more here.
