Vietnam Hits its Stride

More airlines are flying to Vietnam as the country moves to boost its exports by air.

It now is the claimed leading south east Asian exporter to the US with shipments tipped to rise 19% to about US$29 billion this year, according to the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

Other commentators say the country’s exports will be about 80% of its gross domestic product this year after total exports rose 13.4% from a year earlier to US$123 billion in the 10 months through October.  Read more here.
