POSITION: Billing Associate

REPORTS TO: Billing Supervisor

BUSINESS UNIT: GHY International

LOCATION: Winnipeg, Head Office

GHY International has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Accounting Dept. This position is responsible for issuing and distributing invoices to clients. The billing supervisor is required to prepare and send billing statements to clients, assist with Accounts Payable tasks and perform general administrative duties to support the accounting department.

Responsibilities:

  • Bill US and Canadian entries

  • Bill corrections, B2 amendments and miscellaneous batches
  • Prepare invoices and entries for scanning when required
  • Run unbilled report twice daily
  • Prepare and distribute daily and monthly statements
  • Ensure invoices are published and emailed to clients daily
  • Resolve client inquiries regarding billing and statements
  • Set up and maintain accuracy of client email distribution list
  • Maintain accuracy of billing and statement notes and training material
  • Assist with Accounts Payable functions (ensure trade payables are billed, verify and post expense, etc)
  • Interdepartmental coverage as needed
  • Prioritize work assignments
  • Other duties as required

    Educational Requirements:

    • Completion of Grade 12 Education

    • Post Secondary Training in Administration and/or Accounting would be preferred, but not required

      • Must have strong team building skills
      • Understanding of Outlook, Word, Excel

        Experience:

        • 1-2 years previous experience

        Working Experience:

        • Sitting at a desk, 90%

        • Standing at counter/machine, 10%
