POSITION: CARM Specialist

HOURS OF WORK: Full Time. Monday – Friday.

LOCATION: Winnipeg, MB (Head Office)

START DATE: ASAP

GHY International has an exciting opportunity for the role of CARM Specialist working out of our Head Office in Winnipeg, MB.

The CARM Specialist will be responsible to help guide the organization through the CARM initiative. This role will be working across all areas of the business, this role will be heavily involved with CARM, Accounting, Operations and Client Education and will ensure a smooth business transition in the CARM environment. This is a unique opportunity which will evolve as CBSA roles out CARM R2, R3, R4 etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Experience Simulator (CES) Testing.

  • Working directly and indirectly with CBSA.
  • Assist in the research and developing strategies and opportunities for GHY.
  • Recommending communication strategies to Clients and Associates.
  • Training and guiding clients and Associates.
  • In-depth understanding of the CARM Client Portal.
  • Remain current on CARM implementation by the industry.
  • Assisting importers to register in the CARM Client Portal.
  • Work with importers and CBSA to help reconcile client importer accounts.
  • Train and educate clients on how to navigate through the CARM Client Portal.
  • Assist in facilitating clients through the direct security process.
  • Work with Marketing to develop material for website and client reach opportunities.
  • Work with Team leaders to understand and implement necessary changes in operations.

Skills:

  • Strong communicator, coach and teacher

  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Preferred in-depth knowledge of ITMR
  • Complete understanding of the Canadian Brokerage workflow

Education:

  • Completion of Grade 12 Education

  • Certified Customs Specialist Designation
  • Certified Trade Compliance Specialist Designation

    Experience:

    • Work authorization (Required)

    • Customs Brokerage: 7 years (Required)
    • English (Required)
    • CCS Designation (Required)
    • CTCS Designation (Preferred)
