Inside Business Dev. Associate


POSITION: Inside Business Development Representative

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm C.S.T (start and end times negotiable)

LOCATION: Options include: Winnipeg, MB (Head Office), Toronto, ON, Columbia, SC including possibilities of remote Work from Home



GHY International has an exciting opportunity available and we look to add an Inside Business Development Representative to join our team.

Who are we? Celebrating our 120th operating year, we are one of North America’s longest serving family owned and operated Customs Brokerage firms. After yet another successful year of growth, we’re looking to create further and future opportunities by adding to our team.

The successful individual will uncover new prospects to increase GHY’s base of clients.


  • Sourcing new business development opportunities through scrubbing of outbound calls, emails & campaigns.
  • Understanding needs and interpreting technical requirements and providing technical information.
  • Routing qualified meetings to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Support the Business Development team in building pipeline and close deals.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Post-Secondary education preferred.


  • Strong communication skills, including phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven inside sales experience.
  • A track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
  • Experience working with Pipedrive, PandaDoc & Zoominfo
  • Organized, detail orientated and a quick learner.
  • Understanding of cross border supply chain knowledge considered an asset.
  • Excellent clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Related Experience

  • Preference being given to candidates with at least 1 year of previous consumer outbound calling experience
