ALAN DEWAR
Executive Vice-President, Client Service, GHY
Alan currently serves as Executive Vice President of Client Services and Regulatory Affairs at GHY International, where he has risen through the ranks starting from operations in 1982. In his current capacity, he closely collaborates with executive teams, overseeing the service function of the One Border, One Broker initiative. Alan is a certified Trade Compliance Specialist and Professional Customs Broker, earning a Certificate of Management (Honours) and P. Mgr. designation from the University of Manitoba. Since 2012, he has held the position of National Director for the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers, contributing to various roles on its executive committee. Furthermore, he has formerly served as the Chair of the organization, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of customs brokerage.
MACKENZIE WEST
Director, Market Development, GHY
Mackenzie West, commonly known as Mack, is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in customs brokerage. Currently contributing to GHY’s success in business development and marketing since 2016, Mack started his journey in the industry as a summer intern while studying International Development at the University of Guelph.
A US Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Mack brings a wealth of expertise to the field, emphasizing innovation and sustainable growth in his leadership approach. Renowned for challenging the status quo and embracing ambitious goals, he is dedicated to finding solutions to complex challenges.
