Reminder: ACE Portal Modernization Changes Coming Next Week

Trade Update • FEBRUARY 17, 2021

U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a reminder this week about the previously announced Automated Commercial Environment Portal modernization.

Transition Period

The first phase of ACE modernization, which launched on January 22, includes a new login screen, a new home page, and upgraded user account information display and edit features.

To access the modernized ACE Portal, users must first create a modernized ACE Portal account. As part of this process, users will complete a one-time sync of existing ACE Portal access by entering their legacy ACE Portal username and password. For additional information on the sign-up process, click here.

Users will continue to have access to the legacy portal until final deployment of the ACE Portal enhancements scheduled for January 2023. During this period, both legacy and modernized versions will be maintained and updated by CBP. The agency says it will “continuously synchronize data” between the two accounts.

Sign Up Now

ACE Portal users have until February 20, 2022, to link their accounts, but are strongly encouraged to do so prior to that date in order “to avoid potential delays in any required account support resulting from a high volume of support requests.”

As of Feb. 20, all users will be automatically directed to the modernized ACE Portal login.

Note: CBP recommends using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to access all features of the modernized ACE Portal.

Support Resources

CBP will conduct an ACE Portal Modernization Deployment Support Call for trade users on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 2 p.m. ET (meeting link here).

Participants are encouraged to join at the start of the call when a brief deployment status update will be provided. A question-and-answer segment will follow.

ACE users who need assistance logging in to the modernized ACE Portal or resetting passwords should contact the ACE Account Service Desk at 866-530-4172 or ACE.Support@cbp.dhs.gov .
