Single Window Initiative Update: Decommissioning of OGD Service Options PARS & RMD

Posted October 11, 2019

The Canada Border Services Agency recently advised the trade community that due to the delay in issuing the Single Window Initiative (SWI), Integrated Import Declaration (IID) Electronic Commerce Client Requirements Document (ECCRD) Addendum, the deadline to sunset the legacy Other Government Department (OGD) release service options (OGD PARS and OGD RMD) has been extended to April 1, 2020

The SWI IID ECCRD Addendum provides the required functionality which enables importers and other trade chain partners to process shipments regulated by OGDs and, consequently, decommissioning cannot occur until this functionality has been implemented.
