U.S. Intends to Enter Into Trade Talks Next Year With Japan, EU, UK

The Trump administration this week announced launch of a fast-track process for separate trade deals to expand business with three markets whose combined trade in goods and services with the United States tops $1.5 trillion. The ambitious trade agenda reflects the White House’s stated desire to grow trade and investment through a bilateral rather than multilateral approach as it aims to resolve “unfair” trading practices and shift focus to opening markets for U.S. exports.
