Effective August 15, 2021, the drawback program and Drawback Specialists have been transitioned from designated Ports of Entry (Chicago, Houston, New York/Newark, and San Francisco) to the Centers of Excellence and Expertise.
Effective Sept. 4, U.S. importers looking to create or update their unique identification information with U.S. Customs and Border Protection will now have to contact their assigned Center of Excellence and Expertise or nearest Port of Entry.
