Canada Post Group returned to profitability last year as the national postal service both grew revenue and reduced expenses. The group that includes Canada Post, Purolator and other businesses had a $198-million net profit, compared with a $29-million net loss in 2013.
The group’s total revenue was $7.98 billion, up $419 million or 5.5 per cent from $7.563 billion in 2013, while the logistics segment had a $10-million net profit, all of which were partially offset by a $13-million loss in other aspects of the business. [...]
