On December 3, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued its final determination on the dumping of certain carbon and alloy steel wire imported from China, Chinese Taipei, India, Italy, Malaysia, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam. The determination sets provisional duties on these imports, with rates depending on the exporter. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will decide on injury to the domestic industry by January 2, 2026. The CBSA will maintain provisional duties until the tribunal’s decision, ensuring protection for Canadian producers while the inquiry continues.
