Canada is expanding support for agricultural exports with two new Market Diversification streams under the AgriMarketing Program. The $75 million investment over five years helps industry organizations and SMEs reach new global markets and reduce dependence on traditional trading partners. Priority sectors include canola, pulses, pork, fish, and seafood. The program also supports interprovincial trade and strengthens the competitiveness of Canada’s agriculture and agri-food industries.

On February 10, 2026, at Food and Beverage Canada’s annual Policy Breakfast, Minister Heath MacDonald announced the two new program streams:

  1. Market Diversification for National Industry Associations
  2. Market Diversification for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

Applications open February 13, 2026. Full eligibility and application details can be found on the program website.
