As Canada’s longest-serving independent Customs Broker, GHY is fully prepared for the upcoming implementation of the CBSA’s Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) program. As this important shift approaches, we want to assure businesses that we’re here to support them every step of the way.

The next phase of CARM (Release 3) involves a transitional cutover period from October 5th to October 21st. During this 16-day window, while importer goods will continue to be released, the CBSA will temporarily pause the processing of accounting activities, and access to the CARM Client Portal will be unavailable. You can access the full notice from the CBSA here.

To ensure business operations remain uninterrupted, GHY will:

  • Continue invoicing as usual to maintain consistency and reconcile any discrepancies as CARM becomes the system of record on October 21st.
  • Host webinars offering education and support for the new Commercial Accounting Declaration (CAD) form introduced by CBSA.

This transition represents an unprecedented change for CBSA. However, rest assured, GHY has been investing in both human and technological resources over the years to ensure our clients will not experience disruptions during this period.

We thank you for your business and welcome any questions.
