The U.S. Customs and Border Protection introduced a new web-based application for the ACE Secure Data Portal to simplify account setup for the trade community. The form allows companies to apply for a top account, update Account Owner details, and communicate directly with CBP during the process. The update improves processing speed and reduces manual steps. While CBP encourages use of the online form, it will continue to accept the legacy PDF application during the rollout period.

The new application is for companies that do not yet have an ACE Portal top account.

ACE Portal Account Options and Submission

The new ACE Portal account application offers different options depending on the type of sub-account a company needs. These options are for businesses without existing ACE Portal access.

  • Importer Sub-account: Companies can submit a new Importer Application. For businesses needing multiple Importer of Record numbers, the legacy PDF application must be used.
