The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced today that it will extend certain Section 301 tariff exclusions on products used to treat COVID-19 through September; these exclusions were previously set to expire on March 31, 2021.
With the notification to Congress, the U.S. became the third country to have completed its domestic legislative procedures needed to implement the deal, the final step necessary for the USMCA to take effect this summer.
