CBP Expands Forced Labor Priority Sectors
CBP has expanded the list of “priority sectors” for enforcement of forced labor violations under UFLPA. Detentions for commodities such as palm oil have occurred, but now there is a focus on aluminum, cotton, tomatoes, polysilicon, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products. Detail here.
U.S. Imposes 200% Duties on Imports Containing Russian Smelted or Cast Aluminum
A Proclamation on Adjusting Imports of Aluminum Into the United States was issued recently, which increases tariffs, under Section 232, on imports from Russia and other countries of aluminum and derivative aluminum articles.
