Section 301 Tariff Exclusions & Extensions
The USTR has announced further updates to the Section 301 China tariffs. This decision involves the continuation of 164 tariff exclusions until May 31, 2025, and the expiration of 265 exclusions on June 14. Details here.
Section 301 Comment Period Opens May 29
The USTR has released a Federal Register Notice to detail their four year review proposed modifications. This notice follows the Section 301 update issued last week, where the USTR announced that President Biden has directed the agency to take specific actions in response to China's unfair trade practices. Section 232 Changes – 12 GAEs Removed from Steel and Aluminum Exclusions
Effective July 1, 2024, 12 General Approved Exclusions (GAEs), six for steel and six for aluminum will be removed from the Section 232 duty exclusion process. Find out if your products will be affected.
26 Companies Added to Forced Labor List
The latest addition to the UFLPA Entity List is the largest single expansion to date, bringing the total number of entities on the list to 91. This expansion targets cotton manufacturers outside the XUAR who source cotton from the region, increasing transparency and helping responsible companies ensure their products are free from forced labor. Imports from China Face Additional Tariff Increases Under Section 301

Country of Melt and Pour – FAQs for Steel Imports
